58th National Conference Lodging

The conference will take place at this hotel:
Hyatt Regency Bethesda
One Bethesda Metro Center
7400 Wisconsin Ave
Bethesda, Maryland 20814
USA

Tel: +1 301 657 1234
Fax: +1 301 657 6453

The Hyatt is a beautiful, modern, and convenient conference site. The conference rate for sleeping rooms is $125 per night, plus 14% tax. To get this rate, mention the Esperanto conference or enter the code g-SPRA online. The room includes two beds, each one large enough for two people. Alternatively, rooms with one king-sized bed are available. You are responsible for reserving your room directly with the hotel. Reservations are not handled by EUSA. If you would like assistance in matching you with a roommate, please write to the organizing committee with your name, age, and gender.

If the hotel is full, or you would like to stay elsewhere, there are several possibilities in both Bethesda and D.C., but we recommend reserving early. Contact us if you need help. Note that the Hyatt is located right above the metro station in Bethesda, so it is very easy to get there from other places in Washington.

From our explorations, the cost of a hotel room accessible by public transportation is similar at most hotels in the area. If you need a cheaper alternative, a list of youth hostels in the area can be found here:
http://www.trav.com/Hostels/USA/Washington%20DC

If the cost of lodging in Washington is a severe problem, some local esperantists are willing to host participants during the conference. A limited number of spaces are available. If you need this, please send your request to the local organizing committee at esperantodc@gmail.com

Lower pre-paid rates

When I reserved my rooms, they claimed that they couldn't offer rooms at the stated rate on one of the nights, but I had already found that, if you to the website, you can actually get rooms at a slightly lower rate by pre-paying. So I pre-paid for my room and saved $100 or so.
